China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the positive impact of its visa-free travel policy, simplifying travel for tourists. During a press briefing, spokesperson Wang Wenbin affirmed plans
for ongoing adjustments to visa policies, aiming to enhance conditions for cross-border travel. This update follows the recent announcement of the policy's implementation, covering various European nations and Malaysia.
Since its launch on December 1, immigration data revealed that among nearly 18,000 travellers from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia (the countries included in the visa waiver), around 7,000 entered China within the initial three days of the month.
Wang mentioned a notable surge in average daily tourist numbers from these countries, recording a 39% increase during the first three days of December compared to the final day of November.
