In December, Tesla's sales of electric vehicles manufactured in China surged by 68.7% year-on-year, reaching a total of 94,139 units, according to data from the China Passenger Car
Association (CPCA).
The deliveries of China-produced Model 3 and Model Y vehicles witnessed a significant increase of 14.2% compared to November figures.
Meanwhile, Chinese automaker BYD experienced substantial growth in December, delivering 341,043 passenger vehicles. This marked a 13% increase from November and a notable 45% surge year-on-year. BYD's lineup includes the Dynasty and Ocean series of electric vehicles, as well as petrol-electric hybrid models.
